Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement for IPMF

We want everyone who visits the Independence Public Media Foundation (“IPMF”) website to feel welcome and to find the experience rewarding. As part of this ambition, IPMF is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for anyone with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience and applying relevant accessibility standards.

What are we doing?

To help make the IPMF website a positive experience for everyone, we have been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, which explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the IPMF website.

We have also taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Images have the appropriate alternative text.
  • Our site is fully functional using a keyboard alone.
  • Our site is compatible with modern screen readers.

Conformance status

The IPMF site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are working hard to achieve and maintain our goal of Level AA accessibility; we realize, however, that there are still some areas that need improvement. We will prioritize those issues that have the highest impact for most users.
