Gtown Radio logo

G-Town Radio (92.9 WGGT-LP) amplifies the voices of the Germantown community and encourages community access to the airwaves. G-Town Radio follows the same general principles that unite all community broadcasters, including:

•Promote harmony and diversity in contributing to a cohesive, inclusive and culturally diverse community;

•Pursue the principles of democracy, access and equity, especially to people and issues under-represented in other media;

•Enhance the diversity of programming choices available to the public and present programs which expand the variety of viewpoints available to media audiences in Philadelphia;

•Maintain independence and autonomy in programming decisions as well as in editorial and management decisions;

•Support and develop local arts, music and culture in the station's programming;

•Involve community members as media producers; to that end, offer radio production training opportunities for community members.

G-Town Radio's mission is to be an exceptional outlet for local content, community news, and a diverse spectrum of music. They strive to broadcast sounds, ideas, and talk not found on mainstream media. It is their belief that a strong community is one that offers a platform for neighbors, community members and listeners to share news and generate discussion on topics that impact their neighborhood, the City of Philadelphia and the world.
