Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture

Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture is an arts presentation, education, and civic engagement 501(c)(3) organization concerned with empowering Arab Americans in Philadelphia, whom it has served for nearly 20 years. Al-Bustan is among a handful of Arab arts organizations in the United States. Whereas many BIPOC-identified arts nonprofits aspire to offer artistic expression otherwise not readily available, Al-Bustan has instrumentalized the arts to empower as well as to enrich. Al-Bustan has invested in adults and youth for nearly two decades, especially, by meticulously fashioning programs that involve integral participation, in co-defining the objects processes of their creation and by codetermining the means of their presentation. Al-Bustan is a secular organization that strives to enhance the lives of Muslim and Christian Arab Americans.
