CCATE (Centro de Cultura Arte Trabajo y Educacion)

Obed Arango opened the Center for Culture, Art, Training, and Education (CCATE) in 2011 to create a space for the enormous, yet often unrecognized talent within the Latino community. CCATE's mission is to ignite social transformation by developing and empowering the Latino community through culture, art, career development, and education. As this mission is realized, the organization's work has grown to include health, science and technology, environmental care, and participatory research.

CCATE offers programming opportunities to youth, families, and artists in Norristown, PA. What started as a family effort has grown to serve over 300 families. Throughout the year CCATE hosts various workshops for families and the broader community. CCATE welcomes people from all communities and backgrounds to participate and learn alongside their members.
