Uptown Radio—WJYN 98.5 FM—is a program of the Uptown Entertainment and Development Corporation (UEDC). The organization received their Low Power FM (LPFM) license from the FCC in 2017 and have been broadcasting ever since. WJYN is a volunteer-run, community based radio station. Uptown Radio is providing underserved community of North Philadelphia access media communications. The radio's programming features local talent and talk radio focusing on the Philadelphia community.​
