The Youth Activist Press (YAP) is a youth-created and led project that aims to build a collective of BIPOC youth journalists who will teach one another and promote each other's political growth through skills and ideas sharing, and to encourage youth to envision digital journalism that transforms communities as a potential life path.

Description

The 2020 Community Voices grant will support a five month pilot for Black and Brown youth using video, feature stories and podcasts to document and archive youth voices and experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and the social uprisings in response to racist injustice and persistent state-sanctioned violence.
